When you open a page, our server processes your IP address, the date and time, the page you requested, details about your browser and the page you came from. This is needed to deliver the page and to keep the site secure. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) f GDPR. Our legitimate interest is a secure website that works.
We do not store access logs. If a technical error occurs, the error log of the server can contain your IP address. It is deleted when the server software is renewed.
We use no cookies and no analytics tools. Fonts and icons come from our own server. If you choose a language, your browser stores that choice locally. It is not sent to us.
If you write to us, we process your details to reply. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) f GDPR, or b for questions about a contract. We delete your message when we no longer need it and no legal retention duty applies.
Recipients
Our hosting provider is Server4You GmbH, Hessen-Homburg-Platz 1, 63452 Hanau, Germany. Email runs through Fastmail Pty Ltd, Australia. Fastmail runs its servers in the USA, which is outside the EU. KAT NIL LLC is also based in the USA.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). To use them, write to website@katnil.llc.
You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
